QCTH  improvement lathe # 1  . Dec 2020.

Made an improvement to securing the quick change tool post. Machined down the original center bolt and cut a 10 mm thread then made an extension sleeve 93 mm long by 16 mm  OD, bored out both ends and tapped 10 mm, also machined a flat spot in the center of the sleeve to take a 14 mm spanner, and tighten the sleeve to the center bolt. Then fit the QC tool post securing it with a M10 x 30 mm socket head cap screw, This is a improvement over the old M8  hex cap screw.

This tool holder is a BXA 250 - 200 sold by Banggood .  I am fitting it to my BVD25L , it  is a bit heavy and is an over kill. I should have bought the next size down. It should have been a BXA 250 - 100 .Picture on the left the old tool post removed  showing the center bold.
