Beefing up of the " DM 130 V " Milling machine

This alteration I have seen in an article
On one of the hobby Machinist websites.
Beefing up the milling machine column to make the existing machine more accurate and give it a more solid feel when using it with an maximum permissible end mill or fly cutter.
Picture on the left top the two plates that will replace the existing washer . They will be bolted over the pivot point of the column , then bolted with two M10 cap head screws in to the holes I will be drilling and tapping in the machine base.
left bottom picture and right hand side picture Machining the stiffening plates those that will be fitted to the column, using the lathe and the home made fly cutter in the milling machine..

Picture on the left made two 60 x 10 x 300 mm strips drilled and tappet to take m10 allen cap screws and bolted it to the bottom frame hope fully this will give it ample support on my wooden workshop top.
Picture on the right the original washer removed the new washer and support plate bolted to the back of the milling machine securing the column.

Picture on the left the holes drilled and tapped in the mills main frame all we will have to do now is make two spacer that have a perfect fit between the support bracket and the main frame of the milling machine.
Picture on the right the machine bolted to the table top it is operational .
Have make the spacers and fitted them machine is now completely operational.
See picture at the far right.
