Quick change tool post holders . Feb 2023
Tool holders manufactured from Bight mild steel 30 x 45 x 90 mm .Picture Top left Cutting the Groove to 13 x 17 MM to take A 15 mm lathe cutting tool. C enter picture slot machined to final size. Picture top right all holes drilled in second unit ready for final machining.
Both holders the tool holder groves machined and all the holes drilled ready for the next step..
"Allied Amco " Solid tool post mount November 2021.
Replacing the compound slide with an solid tool post mount. Picture top left squaring and shaping a 50 x50 x120 mm piece of bright ms stock. Center picture hole drilled and tappet M10 for the QC tool holder.. Picture top right the bottom of material machined to size to fit in the top of the cross slide.

Due to the original design of the compound it is difficult to replace the tool holder with something modern,
But making the changing of cutting tools easier on my "Allied AMCO " Taiwanese lathe. I will make the alterations so I will have still have a center bold that is secured
Now I can easily turn the tool holder 90 degrees.
This improvement will speed things up and take away some of the frustrations
